FAQs About This Recipe

Can I use another type of chicken?

Yes, chicken breast or chicken thighs can be substituted for chicken tenderloins in this recipe. However, chicken breasts will take longer to cook and chicken thighs will take less time to cook. So, you will need to keep an eye on the doneness and adjust the recipe accordingly.

Question here

We store this recipe in 3.4 cup meal prep containers with the chicken and asparagus in one compartment. If we add anything else to go along with this recipe, we use 3.4 cup meal prep containers with a divider and place the pasta, fries or mashed potatoes on the opposite side.

Tips From the Kitchen

Consider serving with mashed potatoes or pasta: Mashed potatoes and pasta both pair very well with balsamic chicken and asparagus. They also both meal prep and reheat very well, which makes them a perfect option to add on to this recipe.

Make it cheesy: If you want to cheese-it-up, consider adding mozzarella balls to this recipe. We recommend using 8 oz of mozzarella balls, cutting them in half, and adding them 1-2 minutes after you add the vinaigrette.

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
