Pepperonis Are Optional: When experimenting with jalapeño poppers, I added a layer of pepperonis between the cheese and bacon. And I loved it! I would encourage you to give it a try if you like pepperonis. But this recipe can be make without any modifications with or without the pepperonis.

Secure the Bacon: You’re likely to find that the bacon will be difficult to keep in place when you’re wrapping the jalapeño poppers and that the bacon will loosen in the air fryer. To prevent this from happening, use toothpicks to secure the bacon in place. Then the jalapeño poppers can be served with or without the toothpicks.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 jalapenos
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 oz shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 24 slices pepperoni
  • 2 tbsp ranch dressing

Instructions
 

  • Cut jalapenos in half, lengthwise. Remove seeds and veins.
  • In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded pepper jack cheese, and ranch.
  • Use a knife to fill the jalapenos with the mixture.
  • Top each jalapeno with 3 pepperonis.
  • Wrap each jalapeno in one slice of bacon.
  • Set air fryer to 325° F. Line jalapeno poppers in a single layer and cook for 15 minutes.
